Question about Toshiba Satellite A65-S126 Notebook
Can the power jack be repaired on this laptop? When I plug the charger into the computer, the port on the computer where I put the charger is very loose. I noticed that the pin that was inside the charging port is now on the plug. Is there anyway I can repair my computer without buying a new one? I called Toshiba and they are saying I need a new motherboard and it will be $600.
Not that hard to fix if you are careful about taking it apart and re-assembling it. A digital camera is helpful during the dis-assembly to remind you later where everything went. Took me about 2 hours the first time I did one. Just take your time.
When your done, get a CRD (Cable Retention Device) to relieve the strain on the cable and the pin. I use one from this company.
