Right cartridge incorrect message, but it's the original cartridge.

How long should one cartridge last with normal printing ?? All the lights flash and it continually says to remove and check cartridges

Three buttons keep flashing on my HP 2175 and the message "remove and check cartridge". Can't access anything.

The ink cartridges are probably dried up inside.

I would try replacing them before tossing the printer.

Buy GENUINE HP carts.

Make sure you run the procedure to have the printer cartridge align after reinserting it.

What cause lose of new ink on aligning cartridges.

Unfortunately, the printer does not actually measure the ink in the carts, but measures how many droplets called for. The carts may actually be full, but the printer now thinks they're empty. Most likely the black ink needs to be "charged" because you've cleaned out the pipe. I don't know what to do to charge it, and you'll likely need new carts.

"The yellow 'Alarm' light will not go off after changing cartridges.

Try removing and reinserting the cart. Or try a new cart. It sounds like it's not recognizing that a new cart has been inserted. It could be a faulty/sticky switch where the cart is detected.

Ink system failure

Hi,
  • Please check the cartridges. Are they well installed?[Install them correctly].Still have ink?[replace if out of ink].
  • Also you can check the whether the cartridges pink/orange tape[when new] was fully removed for full cartridge connection. Here's how to:-
  1. With the printer on,raise the cartridges door open to access them[cartridges].
  2. Remove the cartridges from their slots by pressing the tab that is in front of the cartridges.
  3. Now check them.

Hope it helps.Thanks!

Hp Designjet 500 not recognising ink cartridges. the ink carts were nowhere near empty but coming but the printer says replace bought new ones and put them in and the machine is not recognising them...

I've had that problem with unfinished cartridges showing up as empty. I imagine that it could be a bad cartridge as well but I hear and feel the ink when I shake the cartridge. Therefore the ink is there. I also have a problem with some inks. I find the HP inks work perfectly whereas other manufacturers' inks work on and off. I need a solution as well. Right now I have full cartridges that are not picked up by the Designjet sensor. Any idea?

I replaced the black ink cart. but the ink light still blinks. do i have to replace the color cart also? or what else could the problem be? thanks so much

Hi:
I would say replace them both, but first make sure you removed the print head protectant strip from the cartridge. Go into you printer properties and check your ink levels to see if the color is empty, also make sure you use HP ink cartridges, off brands do not meet the required spec's all the time. And never use ink refill for cartridges as sometimes the ink they use is to thick for the HP Printer.

The cartridges comes with the protect tape at the bottom please its removed, if removed please clean the copper contacts with dry tissue , if you get the same error try the old cart if you get the same error the printer is faulty or if dont get then the colour cart is defective get it exchange if you had brought original cart as it comes with 6 months warranty...............

HP Deskjet 950C - trouble loading ink cartridges

1st thing would be to remove the cartridge & check for any damage to the copper contacts as these are what tell the printer that a new cart has been installed. Next make sure you removed the tape covering the nozzles (I've done this before & boy do you feel silly).

If this all looks OK then pull the power out while the cart is still not fitted (this will fully reset the printer).

Once it comes back up, try fitting the cart again also checking that the contacts in the cartridge holder are not damaged/dirty.

This should sort the problem

Cheers
Shaun
