Question about Lexmark P915 InkJet Photo Printer
I can't seem to get my printer to get out of the photo mode so it won't print documents from my computer.
First check they compact able once, refilled cart are recognizied
Cleaning the contacts on the cartridge carrier
1 Power the printer/All-In-One off and unplug the power cable from the outlet.
2 Open the printer/All-In-One lid so that the cartridge carrier can be accessed.
3 Gently move the cartridge carrier into a position where cartridges can be removed.
4 Remove the print cartridges. (For information on cleaning the cartridge contacts, click here.)
5 Using a dry, clean cloth wipe the carrier contacts gently from top to bottom.
6 Repeat Step 5 for the other cartridge slot (if applicable).
7 Reinsert the cartridges, slide the cartridge carrier to its original position, and close the printer/All-In-One lid.
8 Plug the printer/All-In-One back into the power outlet and power it back on.
If your cartridges are not being detected when they are snapped in, do the following:
Open the cover of the printer and unsnap both cartridges.
Snap them back in after a few seconds. Close the cover.
Repeat these steps (1-2) three or more times in succession. You will be prompted to go through the menu on the printer display to finish the process. Follow the instructions displayed.
If your printer is posting a LOW INK LEVEL or CHANGE CARTRIDGE error, snap the cartridges in and out as directed above (steps 1-3). When you close the front cover, you should see the message Cartridge Change - NEW on the display.
Press Select to indicate that you have just installed a new cartridge.

Are you on Vista or XP operating system ?
Lexmark web site has updated drivers for both.
I am using a p4350 on vista, I downloaded the vista driver from Lexmark, it works but Imaging studio doesn't seem to.
However use 'Paint' to scan and don't forget to select or make the P4300 the default printer.

The best Solution for this would be goto Start click on Run type in Services.MSC and click ok now on that window u will see an option saying print Spooler just restart that by right clicking on it......
now go to control panel and go to the Printers Folder......
Right click on the Printer Icon and click on Properties......
Now click on Advanced and then go to Print Processor.......
It will be by default on Lexmark LEMF change it to Lexmark NTEMF 1.008......
Click on Apply click ok......
Restart your Computer and try to use it it should work......

Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Lexmark P915 Printer Driver on your computer - for free. Select your operating system
> click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended
Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on
your computer screen to complete the installation.
