Ok i just got the audiovox ppc 6700 (or as verizon calls it. the vx6700) anywho.. i have a wireless network kind of deal set up in my home. and i wanted to know if i can actually connect to it via my phone. ive found my network available on the phone but its asking for a network key. and thats where i get stuck. im not to sure what the network key is... (kind of sad to say really) anyway im running XP on my computer so if anyone can help me find out what and were i can find the nessisary stuff i would greatly appreciate it.
The network key your phone is asking for is because the WIFI router you are using is protected. You will need to retrieve the key from the WIFI router. The process of retrieving this key varies by router manufacturer, so please let me know what sort of wireless router you are using and I will assist you further :)
It connects to your wireless router just like your computer would, but not through your computer. On the phone just enable Local Wireless, this will temporarily disable the use of the phone function. Then a pop up will occur and say the phone recognizes your houses router if your in range and the rest from there is really simple
