Do you have a screen shot after you enter the new DWORD? I don't see a model to know I am changing correctly.

I needed to reset settings to default and now they won't save.

Go to Registry Editor:

Click START>RUN>type "REGEDIT"

Internet explorer 7 unable to save settings - d351959.gif Add following DWORD Values:

'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main"

Add New DWORD Value called "RunOnceHasShown" and set the value to "1"
and
another DWORD Value called "RunOnceComplete" and set the value to "1"

Restart the Internet Explorer and it should be fine.

Internet Explorer 7

I would guess that your default settings have changed for some reason.
the easiest way will be to uninstall IE7 and re-install it again. that will take few minutes and everything will work for you:
1. go to : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx
2. download the file and save it to your desktop
3. go to Control panel --> add/remove software--> remove IE7
4. install IE7 again

Problem when opening IE7

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=74005 is a default home page for IE.
So when you change your Home page on Internet Option Home page are you sure you have type correct address (e.g. http://www.google.com/) and press OK.

RunOnce is a setup page. You probably recently installed Microsoft Internet Explorer 7. When you first start it (or the next time if you ignore it) it comes up asking you for some configuration of IE7.

But it never hurts anyone to run a spyware scan on your computer. I advice you to use one of the following (or all of them, to be sure).

- CCleaner.
- Spybot: Search And Destroy.
- SpywareBlaster
- Ad-Aware 2007

On most sites you have the option to download from a mirror of your choice.

I hope this helps. Please rate.

Greetings,

DarkNeogen.

Maybe one of the following links will answer you question on how to use Internet Explorer 7.

1. [Internet Explorer 7 Tour]
2. [Internet Explorer 7 Support]
3. [Internet Explorer 7 RunOnce page]

The RunOnce page is the page you get when IE 7 first starts up. After completing the settings you will be redirected to a Getting Started page.

About the Offline problem. Start up Internet Explorer 7 an go to the Extra button on the right. Click it and make sure there's no check before the option "Work offline". If there is, click "Work offline" in order to remove it.

I hope this answers your questions.
Please rate my solution.

Greetings,
