Question about Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
Recently installed IE7,When opening IE from short cut ,web page" runonce.msn.com/runonce3.aspx" opens asking to choose default search provider.(" A" REQUIRED SETTINGS)
page opens but with errors on it:
error: element not found
When I select keep my current default search provider and click on SAVE SETTINGS I get Settings were not able to be saved successfully.
I have tried resetting internet explorer settings by using the feature in the tools menu/ advance tab for resetting, but does not resolve problem.
running windows XP Home edition version 2002 with service pack 3
Try this it helped me:
Go to Registry Editor:
Click START>RUN>type "REGEDIT"
Add following DWORD Values:
Add New DWORD Value called "RunOnceHasShown" and set the value to "1"
another DWORD Value called "RunOnceComplete" and set the value to "1"
Restart the Internet Explorer and it should be fine.
