Question about Whirlpool Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

Replacing the oven door to the Whirlpool electric range RF375PXE

Pulled out the door accidently. Unable to re-connect door to the range.
Oven door right hinge is connected but the left side came out.
It appears that the hinge on the left side is spring loaded. Not successful yet to re-connect. Spring loaded device keeps retracting with the slightest movement.

There is a hole in the hinge, for placing a pin, to hold fully open. Two man job. One forces the hinge into the fully open position; the second inserts the pin (nail) into the hole.

Have you put a thermometer in the oven to make sure it is not heating. They will not always glow red if the oven is at temp.

F9 error code while cleaning oven

F9 = oven door lock failure
Check wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong). Check for stuck lock switch. If that looks good, replace the lock. What is the complete model number? Look in the oven door area.

Whirlpool oven door won't open.

You can try unplugging the over for a while and seeing if that helps. But if that doesn't help you will have to let the oven complete the cleaning cycle in order to regain use.

need strong fingers and a helper... lay the door on the floor push open the hinges and there is a hole on the side of the hinge have your helper slide in a small nail only about 1/4 " in to the hole this will keep the hinge out do the same on the other side then reinstall the door open up and remove your nails
