Question about Lexmark Z2300 InkJet Printer
Whenever I try to print with my Lexmark Z23, the cartridge bangs against the left side of the printer and fails to print. I haven't seen any obvious problems inside the machine (everything seems connected properly, in my inexpert opinion). I tried reinstalling the driver, and that also didn't help. My priner keeps on saying that mmy ink cartridges are out of ink but i just bought new ones,
The encoder strip may have become unseated. please follow the steps given below:
The embedded links in the table lead to specific troubleshooting steps.
1 Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable from the back of the unit.
2 Open the printer's front cover.
Pinch the top of the carrier belt and gently move the cartridge carrier to the center of the printer.
3 On the back of the cartridge carrier, there is a small slot that the encoder strip fits into. Gently push the encoder strip down and back up to get it into the slot. NOTE: If the strip is completely out of the slot, it may be necessary to move it first forward and then back.
4 Move the cartridge carrier back to the left-hand side of the printer with the carrier belt.
5 Reconnect the power supply and turn the printer back on
If the issue persists after you have attempted the steps with a new color cartridge, continue to Contacting Lexmark.
