Mouse worked great for first 3 months. Now, it works great for a few days, then I have problems every 10 minutes where the left button stops responding, and the select function appear on the right button -- but not the click function. Also, the Mac "Sticky Keys" function turns on, and when I move the cursor it highlights everything it passes. Resetting does NOT work. Sometimes hitting the Sticky Keys shortcut (Option x5) restores the mouse, but not always. I often have to KILL the power, because I cannot click on menu items with the mouse OR the trackpad.
Remember you can always use the keypad in place of the mouse. Try replacing the mouse with another one. If that doesn't work, it is probably something in the software. Do a scan on the system next.
Testimonial: "The more this occurs, I realize its not JUST the mouse. Most keyboard shortcuts work, but not all. I have even encountered typing problems -- typing in a text box (such as this) the word appears and then, when I place space, is deleted, but the next word appears until the <space> his hit. I am suspecting a system issue -- will check for updates. Thanks."
Downloaded and ran BitDefender... found a handful of Trojans which it deleted. Problem is still occurring, however. I can go an hour or more with no problems, and then the left-click stops working, the cursor gets a 'sticky-key' thing going where it will only select text, even without the button depressed.
