Question about Memorex MMP8565 MP3 Player
Everythime i turn on the player it will flash the memorex screen then it will flash boot error, shutting down. device purchased 2 days ago. I never even got to put any songs or do anything to it. Followed all instructions and downloaded all software correctly. I was able to charge it but nothing else can you please help????

Weirdly, all that happens when I tried the volume button trick, is that the player will turn on when plugged into the USB port, and I can actually play tracks, but the instant I unplug the USB cable, it turns off.

You can't sync the Memorex player to iTunes, however, you can copy music from your iTunes library for use on your Memorex. First you must convert the music you want to copy into .mp3 format since iTunes uses a different format (AAC) as its default. Follow the instructions below to change the import settings in iTunes:
1. Choose Edit> Preferences, click the General tab, then click Import Settings.
2. Choose MP3 Encoder from the Import Using pop-up menu.
Once that's done, go back to your library and highlight the songs you want to convert. Once they're highlighted, right-mouse click and you'll see an option for Create MP3 version. This will not effect iTunes ability to play the music and if you have an iPod, it will not be effected either. After the conversion is finished, I suggest draging the songs you want for your Memorex player to a folder on your desktop. These .mp3 files can be copied onto your player and will play just fine.

This problem can be easily fixed by running an update called firmware provided by Memorex. If you have the color display, by following the link below you will find the file to download which contains the executable application and instructions to run it.
