to replace a standard ATX powersupply;
remove left hand side cover (ensure power is disconnected first);
disconnect the 20.24 pin primary power plug (big wide white one plugs directly onto the mainboard, also disconnect the 4 pin AUX power plug, looks just like the other one but is a smaller square shaped plug (older P3 boards will not have this)
disconnect all 4 pin power plugs from hard drives/cd drives and aftermarket fans (if any are installed), disconnect SATA power plugs from any SATA devices installed (flat black plug, 4 wires)
disconnect floppy drive power plug (if app) small while 4 pin power plug, once all of these are disconnected, looking at the rear of the computer there will be 4 screws holding the power supply in place, one screw will be more to the centre slightly to ensure you do not put it in upside down, once you remove those screws the power supply will slide right out.. simply re-do these steps in revers for instaling the new power supply
