Bios password toshiba Sat A135 cannot reset???

To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to remove the battery on your Toshiba laptop as it is soldered on the motherboard.

Lost password and boot cd,cant get passed, the password lock

There are a couple options you can try. First being the recovery partition. Most Vista computers come with a section of the hard drive that contains all the files for reinstalling windows. You can boot to that partition and restore windows to factory defaults (This WILL erase all data on the computer). To do so you need to turn off the laptop, hold down the '0' key, turn on the laptop, and release when the toshiba image appears. After that you should get a "Loading Windows Files" progress bar.

The other option are using one of several bootable discs that allow you to reset your user's password. There is only really one that I use myself, the Ubuntu Live CD (it will set up a temporary Linux operating system that you can use without affecting your Windows installation). From there you can reset your windows password. If you want more details on that method let me know :)

Hope that helps

You should try a reinstall, you may have the BIOS Setup password enabled, if so remove the battery and plug hoold the power button down for 60 sec and reinsert battery and power, then try to reinstall XP, check the Install disk for bad scratches, try cleaning the disk and blowing out the drive with the drawer open, and reinstall

No response from Toshiba Satellite A135-S4407

Yes, there is a very good chance your motherboard is bad. If you haven't already, please remove one of your two memory chips from the memory bank ( bottom of the laptop ), and try powering up again. Sometimes a bad or loose memory chip can cause a no post issue. If you're still having the same problem, then the only other piece of hardware in your laptop aside from the motherboard that can cause "no video" would be the cpu. Requires a complete tear down of laptop and a known good cpu to test. However, from my personal experiences the A100 series motherboards are notorious for having motherboard problems so it's most likely the motherboard. I can repair your laptop at a great price.
