Mine does the same thing.. it is a sign that you are burning oil kiddo..either that or antifreeze is finding its way into the engine through a crack or bad gasket.. check for oil smell and moist soot at the tailpipe, or a sweet smell if antifreeze..now if its a steam like smoke..thats normal byproduct of the burning fuel and goes away once the exhaust pipes and muffler heat up enough to blow out all the condensate water...

Why does white smoke come out of my tail pipe?

Black smoke = rich mixture
Blue smoke = oil
White smoke = steam

You only see in the the winter. Gasoline contains water at molecular level and come out of the tailpipe as steam when it burns under combustion.

Smoke coming from engine

Where is the white smoke coming from? Under hood? Out tail pipe? If excessive white smoke from tail pipe, suspect a head gasket failure which in turn will fill the cooling system with exhaust pressure forcing the coolant to come out of the reservoir and resulting in an overheating problem

If your not overheating or losing coolant, its more than likely engine oil burning. If it is coolant related, possible blown head gasket.

What is causing white smoke coming out of the mufflers when I start the engine?

It's normal for a thin white smoke to come out of the exhaust at initial start up. This is caused from moisture built up in the exhaust burning off. However if there is a continuous flow of thick white smoke it could be a blown head gasket causing coolant to burn.

White smoke coming out of the exhaust when starting?

Hello;
Volumes of white smoke is an indication of water in the exhaust. A certain amount of vapor will be present on start up, but if it is different than what has been the norm for this vehicle then a check of the cooling system is in order.
