Re: maytag jet clean model#dwc7400aaw
Check to see in you have enough water in tank. The dishwasher fills then recirculates this water under pressure. If you have water in tank, listen to see if motor is running or not. If it is, you may have clogged jet holes in the wash arms.

Look inside the spin blade and see if there is food or paper inside of the spin blade exit holes blocking it from spraying and spinning. Also if the spin blade is not aligned with nozzle which sprays water into the blade it will not work. I have had both happen several times. Sometimes dishes or pans pushing against the spray nozzle will also miss align the spray jet so the water does not get into the spin blade. I have also had the spin blade be completely worn and would not spin creating the same problem you've had so I had to replace it. Hope this helps.
Hello, check the sprayer arm on the top of the dishwasher inside and to see if it spins. Don't block this spray arm with glasses or dishes that could block the operation of this sprayer cleaning arm.
Now, if it not spinning, check out the fitting arount hing bolt. If this wore out then you will have water pressure lose. Replace if need be. Also, check the feeder water spout that runs the upper spray army, it could be pluged. GB...stewbsion
You may have debris in the sprayer arm jets. It is usually simple to remove the sprayer arms. Then rinse them well using the sink sprayer for forceful water power. I have sometimes had to use a tweezer to remove bits of plastic, paper, bone, or food particles. Once you've remove the debris, rinse well forcing water through to dislodge any other debris. Once you've reattached the sprayer arms, you should have cleaner dishes. Also, some brands of dishwashers have a pipe that runs up the inside back wall and connects to a pipe that runs under the top shelf. Water flowing through this pipe under the top shelf propels the sprayer arms. If the connection at the back is not flush with the "propel" pipe there won't be enough water pressure to turn the sprayer arm. Check to see if your dishwasher has this type of set up. I hope this works. If it does, please let Fixya know by rating my solution. Good luck!
The sprayers are not powered but rely on the water pressure to spin them. If it's not spinning it could be
the spinner isn't engaging in the top rack as you slide it in
blocked jets on the spray arm
blocked feedpipe to the spray arm
Most dishwashers are fairly easy to dismantle to check the first few
You need to clean the jets on the machine arm with an old toothbrush etc... then clean out the debris filter on the bottom of the tub near the dryer bar. The calcification in the little jet areas causes this problem. This should help.
Normally when you have low water pressure and/or cleaning issues, this an indication of a clog in your main wash pump. You will need to remove the lower spray arm and the coarse screen to get to the main wash pump sump. Inspect the impeller area of the pump. This area is usually where accumulations of debris collect and keep the pump from pulling enough water. Things like orange seeds, lemon seeds, bottle cap liners, chicken bones, and jar labels are just a few of the items I have personally found. Although, dishwashers do a good job at removing most food particles, they are not garbage disposals. I bet you will find a clog in the sump somewhere. Let me know if this helps.
