Fast Freeze (some models):igloo
This setting causes the freezer to run
continuously, driving the freezer temperature
to the coldest possible temperature. To
activate, turn control knob to
which is the coldest setting. Use this
feature just before adding large amounts of
unfrozen foods. For best food quality, do not
exceed 3 pounds per cubic foot. Return to
your normal setting after 24 to 48 hours.

How to defrost

easiest way is to unplug and get a heat gun and melt the ice. don't use anything sharp to scrape the ice, you could pierce the refrigerant line.

Mildew in woods refrigerator

If it is being used, it should be too cold for mold (Mildew) to be able to grow. Upright refrigerators already have a circulation fan in them. Mildew won't form in an environment that cold unless the fan is not running and there is a small air leak around the door seals. The picture above looks like a commercial box. If so, the fan is normally mounted and easy to see, mounted on the top panel, inside of the box. If its a residential model, the fan can be berried behind the back inside panel and difficult to access. If there is a switch visible around the door frame, pushing it in should start the fan. I'm guessing that the mildew is present on the door seal? Try sliding a stiff dollar bill between the door seal and the refrigerator all the way around the door. If it makes it in any where, the seal is leaking at that point. If I am way off with all of this advise, let me know in detail how this is wrong and I can go from there. Hope this is good advise for you. Let me know. Good luck.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...

Check out these tips that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

Have defrosted my 210 cu.ft. upright freezer v2003rw3, do not have my manual to hand . At what setting on the dial should I put it at to start it up?

Every Refrigerator has its own "personality" There is no common
setting for any one refrigerator. I would start with 3
The real solution is what I have always told my customers
Get a refrigerator thermometer and a freezer thermometer
Refrigerator temp should be about 33-37 degrees.
Freezer should be about 0-10 degrees. below 0 is overkill

If this was helpful please rate me.
