Question about Canon FAXPHONE L80 Laser
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Check the two rollers where the printout roll in between. The smudge/blotch would be caused by a smear or foreign mater adhering to the surface of one.
Post back result(s). Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

1. Remove any documents and printouts from the machine.
2. Make sure the machine is plugged in.
3. Lift the latch and open the front cover.
Do not try to open the front cover without lifting the latch since this may damage your machine.
4. Hold the cartridge by its handle and remove it from the machine.
5. Remove the new FX-3 cartridge from its protective bag.
6. Gently rock the cartridge from side to side a few times to distribute the toner evenly inside it.
Then reinsert it and then try to print and also check the toner level if there is low toner in cart ...IF its low change the toner and try to print ...
Good luck....

Hi!
Use a vacuum cleaner with toner filter, vacuum debris from the exposed paper path, especially under toner cartridges.
Use clean, slightly water-moistened towels to wipe remaining dust or toner. Do not use solvents to clean internal printer surfaces such as belts or rollers.
Avoid touching delicate drums or belts, wipe off loose toner and debris from toner cartridges and other supply items.
Thanks

Do not touch the edge of the plate at the upper side of the transfer roller because it is sharp.
When the printer's automatic density control (ADC) sensor is dirty, follow the procedure below to clean it.
Do not touch inside the printer with your hands. Some parts may be hot. Allow time for the printer to cool before attempting to remove parts in this area.
6. Replace the transfer roller. Grip the tabs as shown
Align the arrow marks on the transfer roller to the marks on the printer, and gently push the roller into the printer.
To lock the transfer roller into the printer push down the tabs until you hear a click
Close the front cover
