Trying to scan

I want to know how to scan a picture to my computer.

Trying to scan unsuccessfully. Have tried going via HP Photosmart but the scan option does not show. Have also tried re-installing via HP CD . Have also tried clicking the button on the Scanner itself - on/off light blinks then nothing. Also tried going via Control Panel, clicking scanner, the HP 1350 icon shows up fine, but when I double click it - NOTHING! (apart from a new window showing general, properties etc. It also tells me that the HP is installed and ready to go, with a green tick) Am I missing something obvious here? The photocopy function works fine. I'm going bananas here!

Hi, Open your HP Photo & Imaging (if not on your desktop will be in programs under HP) Click on the scan button. This will do the work for you. You can tell it where you want the picture saved by clicking on "browse". Good luck & have fun. If this helps you plz rate it. Thank you kindly.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Im trying to scan photos and ad them to my computer and i dont seem to have the know how can you help

I will list the steps that will allow you to scan your photos.

1. Turn on your computer, let it bootup, then turn on your printer.
2. Locate the "HP Imaging Director" icon on your computer ( placed there when your printer was
installed on your computer), double click it and a screen will appear which shows the scanning
options of your printer.
3. Lift the printer's lid and place a photo on the glass top.
4. Click "Scan Picture" from the scanning menu.
5. The scanning lamp will come on and make one pass under the photo, as this is happening,
your photo will appear on your monitor, allowing you to see the scanning result.
At this time, you can make adjustments, if you wish, to the scanned photo or accept it as is.
6. Click the "Accept" button and the scanning lamp will make a final pass under the photo.
7. The photo can be seen in the HP Photo Gallery or your computer's My Picture folder.

I hope this helps you.
HAPPY SCANNING

When you scan a picture with hp officejet 6500 wireless, how do you get the picture to your computer? I see that the printer is scanning the picture, but I don't know how to get it to my computer.

To get it to your PC you must use a program to scan the picture. You can use Word to scan the picture by going to File and the Import. Import from Scanner.

I dont know how to scan pictures onto my laptop. I dont know what

Another idea: Try ScanMyPhotos.com.com as another option, they have two same day photo scanning services, pay $50 to scan up to 1,000 photos, or prepaid box that holds about 2000 photos, all free S&H for $125. David Pogue reviewed

Scanning

Go into Control Panel and complete the Scanner Wizard provided by Windows XP, then try scanning pictures or documents again. If you have the disk to the printer/scanner autorun the installation again. It will just overwrite the old install, not a big deal. If you do not have the disk, look online for the "free installation disk Dell A940 Printer/Scanner" and run from this free website. Let me know how it goes.
