SOURCE: ipod not recognized by computer or itunes

I had the same problem. The problem ended up being with Itunes not working right. The solution I found was to download the program winamp and download the plugin for apple ipod. Then you can sync and add software thru winamp. After syncing one time it even worked with itunes but I like winamp better, so I synch all music using winamp.

SOURCE: Computer Won't Recognize

Hi. Maybe your computer doesn't recognise your iPod, because it doesn't have the driver installed. Your iPod Shuffle looks like one of the newer types, which are smaller and lighter than the previous version. Try re-installing the driver from the Apple website, but make sure it's the correct one, or you might damage it.

Any way to remove the DRM from iTunes Apple Music?

Here's one way:
1. Using iTunes, burn a music CD with the songs you want.
2. Import the CD you just created. Use the iTunes > Preferences > Import Settings to set the type of audio file you want iTunes to create when importing the songs.
3. iTunes will import the tracks as "Track 1", "Track 2", etc. You can rename the tracks to the original song titles.

How can i dowload the music from computer to my memory card instantly??

This is dependent on the digital device and your Operating System (OS). MACs and Windows computers use different Operating Systems, OSX for Apple MACs and Microsoft Windows for most of the machines on the market. Some devices come with software that allow you to transfer music directly to the device using a USB cable. Others allow you to insert the memory card into a card reader which shows up as a drive on your Personal Computer (PC). You can then copy and paste the songs to that drive. The copy and paste can be done by selecting multiple songs then using keyboard commands [CTRL]+[V] to copy and [CTRL]+[P] to paste. You also perform these command functions by using the right mouse button and selecting the appropriate function from the menu. Some devices read the music from the main directory that you initially see in your file browser while others require you to place the music in a specific folder such as (Music).

Ipod is not recognized by itunes. it wont play or charge it just blinks 4 times when i plug it in

  1. The iPod reset utility will reset your iPod shuffle back to it's factory settings. It works for the following shuffles: iPod shuffle (1st Generation) - iPod Software version 1.1.5, iPod shuffle (2nd Generation) - iPod Software version 1.0.3
The reset utility will fix the following issues.
    1. The iPod won't play music and can't be restored using iTunes
    2. iTunes won't see the iPod but you can see it under "My Computer" in windows or under Apple System Profiler on a Mac.
    3. iPod shuffle (1st Generation) is identified as a device in "Recovery mode." iPod shuffle (2nd Generation) is identified as a "USB DFU device."
  2. You have to have administrator privileges to run the restore software and it will wipe out all the information on the iPod (including all your music) and install factory software back onto it.
System requirements are Mac OS X 10.3.9, or later, Win2k with sp4, Win XP, this won't work on Vista.
Download the file for the program here:
    MAC
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ipodresetutility102formac.html
    Windows
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ipodresetutility102forwindows.html
  3. Install the software onto your computer, plug your iPod into the USB port and run the reset program, it will ask for your permission to reset the iPod, answer yes and the process will proceed. After finishing the reset procedure then use iTunes or whatever software is used to access your iPod and load your music. Enjoy your toy!

Audiobook to ipod

That is the problem. iTunes will only allow you to put audiobooks in that section if they were bought from the iTunes store. It's very annoying, but i suggest just making a playlist to hold all the files. iTunes doesn't let you set the type as "Audiobook" for files.

Ipod & itunes libary

you need to create a seperate profile on your computer, on winXp you can do this from the USERS Menu in the control panel.

When you turn your computer on, you should then see the welcome screen, (which allows you tyo choose the profile to use)

he will then have a seperate profile, and a seperate iTunes library to you.

you can then Share your iTunes Library so that he can access your tunes from his profile.
