I appreciate your help.  The problem is that I have been unable to sync my palm with the desktop even after downloading the download you told me about and my batteries are running low so I am about to lose all my data.

I have a Handspring Visor Graphite Handheld and when i shnged the bateries i lost all my data. Anyone can help?

If you have hotsynced your Visor with a PC (or Mac), the first time you sync your Visor to that computer, it should restore all the data from the last hotsync to the PDA. This is one big reason that it makes sense to sync your PDA on a regular basis.
Unfortunately, if you never used the hotsync function for your Visor, you may not be able to recover any of your data. This model Handspring Visor requires good batteries or else everything in its memory will randomize and you will lose all stored information. There is a small capacitor in the Visor that provides enough reserve power for about 30-60 seconds when you pull out the batteries. It's for this reason that Palm recommended pulling out only one battery at a time when changing to a fresh set. That minimized the amount of time that the PDA would be without power. That same advice applies equally to Visor PDAs.

My z22 will not switch on - can you help?

I have had that problem. There's a little button on the back of the Palm which resets the whole thing. Don't worry, you won't lose any data. I've had to do it a few times. The button is very tiny and you have to use a pen point to press it.

My palm just displays ''Palm Powered'' Tried soft reset

Have you tried a hard reset? Just remember a hard reset will delete everything on your device. All your data will be deleted, and formats, preferences and other settings are restored to their factory default settings. Don't perform a hard reset unless you've backed up your data, or you're willing to lose everything. Here is a link with the directions:

If that doesn't work then try the free palm chat service they offer. Here is a link to that:

My z22 Palm will not keep a charge and after a day

The battery needs to be replaced. They are sold on Ebay but if you need to do any kind of soldering then the best bet is to take it in and have it done by an authorized repair. It is worth the little extra you will pay.

Best wishes.

Lose data on palm m100

Best way to prevent data loss on palm m100, replacing the battery before it drained completely and replacement must be done in 10 seconds. Another way to prevent keep backup on computer side. You need to use same user profile in order to get previously stored PIM data on computer

Losing data

Did your Palm happen to lose battery power?

You can check this by looking at the date/time under World Clock.

If the year is incorrect, it's likely you lost battery power.
If you sync again, it will ask you to choose a profile and select your current one.

Hope this helps!

Palm Zire 71 Display Problem

If you slide your Zire up as if you are using the camera, there is a reset hole in the back that you can poke a needle or pin into to have it do a "reboot" which will not lose data.

Not sure why the display changed.
