Denon AVR-3200 wont go into standby mode

Not sure what you mean by standby mode. The power button on most of the audio remotes I deal with merely turns the equipment on and off.

Turning On and Standby
On the AV receiver, press the [ON/STANDBY] button.
On the remote controller, press the [RECEIVER] button, followed by the

The AV receiver comes on, the display lights up, and the STANDBY indicator goes off.
To turn the AV receiver off, press the [ON/STANDBY] button, or press the remote
controller's [ON/STANDBY] button. The AV receiver will enter Standby mode.

If you have any trouble using the receiver, a simple reset could solve your problem.Note that resetting the AV receiver will delete your radio presets and custom settings.
To reset the AV receiver to its factory defaults, turn it on and, while holding down the [VCR/DVR] button, press the [ON/STANDBY] button. "Clear" will appear on the display and the AV receiver will enter Standby mode.

My Denon AVR-1507 keeps automatically turning off every time I turn it on. Then the standby button blinks red. Is there a quick fix to reset the microprocessor?

Thanks for using FixYa. Store these instructions in a safe place. After reading, store these instructions along with the warranty card in a safe place. Whenever the power operation button is in the STANDBY state, the unit is still connected to AC line voltage. Please be sure to turn off the power operation button or unplug the cord when you leave home for, say, a vacation. Note that the illustrations in these instructions may differ from the actual unit for explanation purposes. Please click on this link for further reference---

Receiver will not work by remote

Here are suggested solutions for you!

Unfortuntately, you and many others have this problem. I will point you in the direction of two "fixes" I have found.

Fix 1 is from Kenwood themselves, per the following quote:

"First try replacing the batteries if you haven't already. If that doesn't help, try resetting the receiver. Simply unplug the receiver, then press and hold the power button on the receiver while you plug it back in. Turn the unit on, and the display should say 87.50 to confirm the reset. If the remote still does not work, use a digital camera as an eye, face it towards the IR of the remote control. Depress any of the remotes buttons; you should see IR flash each time a button is pressed. If not then the problem is with the remote. If the remote works fine, then the problem is with the receiver. In order to determine the cause of the problem, I suggest you take the defective unit to a Kenwood authorized service center for evaluation. You can find information for authorized service centers in your area by visiting our website at"

The second fix involves some very simple soldering, and has been endorsed by many as the solution:

I hope this helps. Good luck and please let me know if this solves your problem!

How to turn off standby mode

Try this:

On the top of your remote near the power buttons there are a series of buttons that have names under them such as "TV" and "DVD". Press and hold one of those buttons for about two seconds.
