Try to open the memory and clean the copper of your memory module and put it back again and try to boot your laptop.

I reset my surge protector and the computer wont power up. i think i need a new power supply. the power cord is working fine. Please let me know where i can find a power supply for the aspire...

The Acer Aspire L100 is a desktop computer powered by a special DC adapter and power cable. The computer's motherboard incorporates a fuse designed to prevent any power surges from damaging the computer. If the fuse burns out due to a power surge or for any other reason, the computer will no longer function. You can check the motherboard fuse for damage yourself, then take it to a trained technician for replacement if needed

Shut down the Acer Aspire L100 and turn the tower around.

Press the "On/Off" button on the front of the tower. If the computer will not boot and the fan does not turn on, the fuse may be burned out.

Unplug the power cord from the rear of the tower

Turn the tower on its side and remove the Phillips-head screws connecting the back panel to the Aspire L100's cabinet.

Pull out the motherboard assembly gently from the back of the cabinet. The internal fuse is located on the motherboard behind the DC power jack, which is to the right of the monitor jack

Let me know if this helped..

How to change the power jack on acer aspire 5000

This is a big job. It requires taking the unit completely apart. Many small screws and pieces. Also may require soldering the new jack to the board. If you have never done it before suggest bringing it to a repair center.

Many things can go wrong that can kill the laptop.

    Hope this helps!

    Acer 9100 dc jack broken

search ebay for a DC Jack for your model. Disassemble your laptop. Desolder the broken DC Jack from the laptop motherboard. Solder the new DC jack onto the motherboard and reassemble laptop. If your not experienced in soldering of disassembling laptops I would recommend you hire someone to do this job. If you wish contact me jason@jrdtech.net

Power jack on Acer Aspire 5610 loose - how can I replace it?

The power jack on that model is soldered to the mainboard.

Unless you're comfortable with taking the notebook apart, and good with a soldering iron, it is best to take it to a shop.

If you choose to do this yourself, the power jacks can be bought from several sources for around $10 including shipping.

Repair shops charge $100-$150 to perform this repair.

    Acer DC Power Jack

well..actually, it's installed on the motherboard..you'd need to strip the whole unit open, and then figure out how to desolder it from both top and bottom layers of the board..loads of potential issues arise on that.
