Wont Go Past Error 0175: Bad CRC1, Stop Post Task

hi! try reinstalling the main-board utilities, actually its a package on your IBM unit. Its on the CD installer, insert it and reinstall the driver of your IBM Thinkpad to ease that error. If it doesn't work out, try reinstalling the Operating System. Have a nice day

CRC Problem

Chances are since the system CRC1'd it has a very old BIOS revision. From version 1.10 on, the CRC issue has been fixed. So, get the latest BIOS from IBM, T21 BIOS: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/spsdkz34.exe and flash the BIOS. Reboot the system and verify the updated BIOS. Now power down the system, desolder the known good EEPROM and resolder the CRC1 EEPROM. Boot the machine and hit ESC when the splash screen comes up and watch the post screen. The new BIOS should have recalculated the EEPROM checksum and written the changes to it. You'll know if it worked because the CRC1 error will be gone.

IBM, laptop w1235499

You need to be a bit more specific & detailed in your problem for me to help.
Does the error accour when booting up (before or after bios?)
or when your Operating system has loaded?
Do you get a blue screen? what does the error say
Exactly?

CRC1 0175 Error

This error is typical of a problem with the system board.

I've only seen this error appear on IBM thinkpads. Your EEPROM with the following steps.
You can try this to test the EEPROM
1.unplug AC,battery, HDD and and your cd/dvd rom drive.
2.press power button,last more than 10 seconds
3.plug battery and AC power
4.power on
5.when see the IBM logo, press F1 button immediately.

If the same error pops up, try it a few more times. If the error keeps displaying then it is the motherboard
