Question about Saeco Vienna SuperAutomatica Coffee Maker/Espresso Machine

Limited water output (saeco vienna superautomatica model year 04)

The machine only dispenses 45 ml water notwithstanding the placement of the cup volume knob. After it dispenses this amount the red light comes on and stays on. If I "reboot" the machine, the red llight goes out but the problem is repeated. I have descaled the machine. If I open it up to try to fix the problem, what should I look for?
Thanks for the assistance - this is a great website.

I had the same issue with the same machine for about the same amount of time. I bought a new pump and a mainenance kit. I found tons of calcium build up inside the boiler, and the bolts to the boiler were rusted to the point where they broke off. The old pump was very noisey and failing to pump water through the clogged boiler. After cleaning out the boiler, replacing the o-rings on everything, and a new pump, the machine is like new.

Could be 3 things. Pump, flow meter, or clogged boiler. Pump is a standard ulka pump, flow meters are bought only from saeco as well as boilers. If i had to guess.... If its a vienna black than i'd point to the flowmeter. If you get pressurized water out of the steam wand than its either the flow meter or the boiler. Pointing more towards the flow meter (u shaped white plastic part with in and out tubes.

Saeco Vienna coffee when the machine starts the coffee dispensing

Is it leaking only when brewing coffee ?

If not I would check the seal under the water tank (Part #NM05.006)

If so, I would check the following:

1- The water input port on the back of the brew unit (looks like a smoke pipe) might be clogged

2- The o-ring of the water tubes coming in and out of the boiler.

Check the little chamber under the white plastic valve behind the brew unit, that might be blocked with coffee.

Saeco Vienna Superautomatica will not make a full cup of coffee

Hi,
I'm wondering if you had any luck solving this? After 3 years of great coffee, my machine is only making a 1/4 cup or so. All parts are clean. I'm guessing something on the circuit board that the dial is attached to....thanks!

What is the difference between a water tank with & without a magnetic float on a saeco Vienna Superautomatica?

Hi
The magnet tells the machine that the water is low so you don't run the pump dry and cause it to fail. Some Vienna Supers had them and some didn't.
