My gas dryer will not heat up. I have been unable to find any posts that match the model number. The model munber is 110.C74852301. I took the back off it and the igniter appears to be under the front of the unit. The bottom is sealed.

Yeah you gotta drop the front panel using a putty knife to release the clips. Basically the flame sensor should have continuity. If it is open you the ignitor won't come on. anything that does not have continuity will be the problem. Their are 2 duct fuses, one on the heater chamber and one hidden behind the filter housing. Model number 110 97573220 gas dryer won't heat up to dry clothes, just runs and runs.

The ignitor that lites the burner to heat the clothes is probably bad should be located near the bottom on one of the corners inside the machine probably the could get to it by rmoving the back.

Hiya. My Kenmore dryer model 110 97282800 72828 will not dry (heats up slightly). Vent is clear and drum rotates. Adequate airflow coming from machine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

if it heats for a while you have bad gas coils, when you change them out watch out for the coil with three prongs on it,there is a metal piece that sometime gets stuck in old coil when you remove it,if it happens just poke it out of old coil and slide it back on post where new coil will be installed

Whirlpool gas dryer

From the sound of your problem, it appears you may have a faulty overtemp switch that gets too hot , opens the circuit to disable gas and flame, then cools down and allows it to start again.. Since you didn't provide a specific model number with your question.. use this link to find replacement whirlpool thermal fuses etc.. http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/whirlpool-dryer.php#fuse

Hope this helps..

Don't know if this is right model

Okay...took me a while to get a good cross reference on this one. Drop the last four characters of your model number and place a "110." in front of the remaining numbers. That way the number reads 110.86921100. The "110" identifies the manufacturer. Your dryer is made by Whirlpool. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and type in the model number I provided, there are a series of drawings on the next page showing an exploded view of the layout of your dyer. Does this look familiar to you? Under the "Cabinet" heading you will find the dryer belt listed as item number 56 (part number 341241). For a diagram of how the belt goes on, go to repairclinic.com and you will find a dryer belt diagram link listed under the "Repair Help" section. Locate the Whirlpool diagrams and you will use drawing "K". I apologize if this sounds like absolute madness. If you get confused, please post back and let me know. I hope this answers your questions.
