I am installing a reverse osmosis system in my home and need a "dummy cartridge" part to replace the water filter that is in the refrigerator - PureSource RG-100 and how do I get it?

hello.
i know such thing exist but i am having a hard time finding a part number for it. A alternative would be to in essence bypass the ref.filter this way.
The water line on the back of the refrig where the house plumbing connects to feeds directly into the filter first then out of the filter into the water valve to be dispensed to icemaker and door dispenser.you could connect the water supply from the RO system directly to the water valve instead of connecting the RO to the inline refrig filter.

How do I plumb in this fridge freezer?

It should come with a very thin water pipe with a screw cap on the end. This will connect to a self cutting tap (which you will have to buy). This tap needs to be put onto the pipework of the fresh water mains. (rising main).

Have a HOTPOINT CTX18GI fridge. Automatic icemaker doesn't work, but don't know if it's the actual ice maker or any of the switches. Water is going to the line from the sink plumbing via a standard small...

Have you tried raising the arm of the ice maker and leaving it for awhile then push it back down and see if it will work? Should be a cover that is over the plug take the cover off and unplug the ice maker, shouldn't be that hard to take off. I believe you have to squeeze the top and bottom together to remove it but Im not positive.

ICE MAKER NOT WORKING i HAVE REPLCACED THE ICE MAKER STILL NOT WORKING I NEED TO KNOW WHERE THE WATER VALVE IS THANKS

ok first thing is to look at the water feed line that gives you drinking water and water to make ice with.its behind the refrigerator. pull the refrigerator out from the will slow so you don't pull it from the plumbing. feed it out till you have room to climb behind it. the valve is on the left bottom of the refrigerator on the back side. so that means when your on the back side of the refrigerator the valve will be on the right lower area you can see the water and the electric hook up's on the switch. you have the sawdust word this will take to your switch

No ice

Three possible causes:

1. The saddle needle valve on the supply line - (your plumbing) - has finally clogged up entirely from a gradual calcium build-up. This happens quite frequently. Close the main valve on your water plumbing, remove the saddle needle valve, and check for blockage. If blocked, try to clean it out. However I would recommend simply replacing it with a new needle valve which can be purchased at any hardware store for just a few dollars.

2.. The control module in the icemaker is malfunctioning. If so, a replacement module can be purchased and installed. However, given the cost of that module, I would recommend simply replacing the entire icemaker unit for just a few dollars more than the module cost.

2. The water fill valve, located near the bottom rear of the refrigerator - (on most models) - is either malfunctioning or its screen filter is totally blocked. In either event, that water fill valve should be replaced. The replacement cost of a water fill valve is relatively modest.

Regrigerator water pipe is broken

refrig's only use 5/16 or 1/4" dia. lines. you can cut and splice the broken line if you can find a 5/16" X 5/16" quick disconnect coupler. homedepot only carries 1/4'. try your local plumbing store.

no the water does not have to be plumbed in for the frige to cool. replace bulb. if short in the system exists then you will need to replace an interal wiring harness.
