Question about Panasonic SC-PM16 Shelf System

1 Answer

Panasonic SA-PM16 My CD player crashed (It will do absolutely nothing now) while playing Harry Potter audio CD's and displays an "F61" error message. Since I am no wizard, I'm looking for information on how to remove the CD's before shipping it off for repairs or taking it into a repair shop, or curing the problem myself.

I have the same model. I don't know that exact error, but a similar error occurs when the loading mechanism falls out of sync. I've spent a lot of time trying to reassemble the loading mechanism. After 2+ hours of painstaking work on a Saturday morning, I got it working quite well again.

I must stress, without the service manual, reassembly is difficult. I suggest finding the service manual.

Panasonic error f61

If you do not know what an audio output IC is, what would ordering one do for you? And unless you have the know how and special gear there is no freaking way you could ever replace it.
Either have someone repair it for you or go shopping.

I WHAT IS FULT OF F61 IN SA-AK177

HELLO
F61 means a protection code which normally means there is a fault with the audio output IC. Check all your cables for shorts etc, and try hooking it back up. If the error is still there you'll have to put it in for service.
ALL THE BEST!

F61 error

If memory serves me correctly, the F61 message is teh shorthand for protect mode. There is a problem with the output section that is being detected. The unit shuts down to prevent additional damage to either the amp section or the speakers. I'll look up your specific model for more details. In the meantime, check the speaker wires to be sure that they are not frayed and crossed.
