the instructions specify descaling is a possible solution to insufficiently hot water. Worked for us 3 times each device, about every 4 months. The 4th time it made no difference, and I assume the element was broken. The descaling operation uses a button sequence and a litre of vinegar, and 30 minutes.
Anyone know where to get a replacement element?

Hi, I have a Garmen Quest and the suction cup that mounts the unit to the wind screen has lost its seal, I need a replacement mounting base.

You can try retail stores such as BestBuy/Radio Shack. Or you can order a new one from the manufacturer. Although first try rubbing the suction cup down with rubbing alcohol to clean it and try it then.

Garmin nuvi 360 suction cup knob issue

If the end of the cradle has a ball, and the cup has
a round part, just push the ball in, yes it does go in hard but should be ok. If it makes you feel more
comfortable, you can put a drop of water on ball and wipe it around, once it dries, it wont slop around.

Mounting tomtom 125 with disk

first ensure that the surface you are mounting to is clean use rubbing alcohol also make sure dis surface and suction cup are cleaned. remove sticker sticker peal from sticker on underside of disc place disc on cleaned dash surface. then place mounting cup onto disk this should hold quite well if not i would recommend getting the hard plastic type velcro and attaching to dis and suction cup that works well for me

Garmin Suction Cup (Rubber)

Put a drop of dishwashing detergent and a few drops of water on the rubber and distribute it evenly before You mount it to the windshield. This mixture enhances the suction power and keeps the rubber soft. Repeat after 3-4 months! If You don't like the look of it on the outside of the window, put a smiley sticker on it! :-)
