Question about Epson Stylus Photo R200 InkJet Printer
This was a gift from our children, now the inks were taken out for me and i went about buying the black epson but i have no idea how to put it in.
i turn on the machine and i see box for the injet but i cannot get it to stop for me so i can put it in. when i turn off the power nothing moves so i am stuck.........cannot find the original manual
You can download the manual from here, which gives a full explanation on changing ink cartridges:
You can do it manually by turning on the printer, then, as soon as the print head starts to move, pull out the power cord from the printer, or switch off at the mains. The print head will now be free to move (carefully) by hand to the cartridge change position. Replace the cartridges and turn the printer back on. Carry out a cleaning cycle.
If the cartridges have been out for a while, you will no doubt have dried ink blocking the nozzles. Several cleaning cycles may be needed, or other methods, to clear the print nozzles. Report back if this is the case.
Remember in future not to remove a cartridge until you are ready to replace it.
