Question about Nokia 3100
pls try this solution, however pls test the contuinity of the jumper lines indicated on the pic before putting the jumper. only those cut lines should need jumper... not that we should use fine magnetic wire to avoid short circuit..

common cause of insert sim is that your sim card doent contact to its sim card terminals. try cleaning its terminal or bending its sim card cover towards the sim terminal or put any small cut or folded paper just like the shape of your sim and place it together w/ your sim. that makes your sim compress more to its terminal.
if samething happens then its already hardware problem or simcard terminal loss its connections..

1. Yes, that's true this might be ur handset's sim slot problem, to confirm about that inset another sim in ur handset, if ot doesn't work then go to nokia care.
