Question about Dell Dimension E520 PC Desktop
I have a problem with the installation of XP media on a new hard drive.
The boot sequence is set to boot from the cd-rom the installation runs for about 5 minutes the I get an error stop error and told to run chkdsk /f which
does nothing. Please advise as to what should be done. The original Hard drive had a virus and trojans which I cleaned. So I swapped the hard drive because I could not format the original drive since it was not responding.
I appreciate your input since I have ran out of ideas.
connect your hard drive to other computer and then have it clean by scanning with antivirus. and then copy the important files on it to the working computer. after copying the files thats the time to return back the original hardrive to the dell dimension and then reformat and reinstall the system again again. please use original operating from dell or what ever is applicable.
