Want to delete ms antispyware 2009

Keep getting messages from ms antispyware 2009 saying I have viruses. When I say I want to delete them, it says I have to purchase the software. This keeps happening and I can't get rid of it. It kicks me off of any internet site, with the continuous message. I ran my symantic scan, and it still was happening. I can't get rid of it.

Hi sounds like you have a malware. Which is a malicious software,it's a type of virus. I suggest you download malware bytes, install and run. Also dowload adaware. I have provided the links where you can download them. That should get rid of it. Don't forget to rate me. Thanks

Reboot your computer into safe mode by repeatively tapping on F8 while you reboot. Once there do a system restore to an earlier date, run anti-spyware, anti-virus, clean out your internet temp files

Or you can go to this site and do a download this ani-hijack, anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc, etc;

Start your PC and press F8 several times until the boot menu comes up. Then select "Safe Mode with Networking". Now get some or ALL of the FREE programs below.

Download, Install and Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

When Installing choose the non-pro version.

Download, Unzip, Install and Run TDSSKiller:

Download, Install and Run Super Anti-Spyware:

If you have an outdated Anti-virus program then Download, Install and Run Avira Anti-Virus:

Win32/Spatet.A trojan

while I am not familiar with the "eset" A/V program (actually never heard of it before) I would STRONGLY suggest that you go to their website and try whatever forums may be there first as that anything that we would have to say might very well "kill" your system because there are SO many versions of WIN XP (OEM, Home Pro, etc) and they would have VERY intimate knowledge of the software that you are using.

A spam email is using my account to send & spread virus to all my contacts and more, using all my sending message limits every day, without any controle of my side. Please advicse how to solve this...

You could try a Norton symantec online scan. http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/WelcomePage.asp
also SUPERAntiSpyware http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html
and ad-aware http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
also you could use hijackthis found here..
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/security/antispyware/hijackthis.cfm
and when your done cleaning your PC use
ccleaner http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download
Then use a web based email service like Gmail, yahoo mail or MS livemail.
this will keep the junk files off of your PC (nothing ends up on your PC unless you choose to save it manually)

Let me know if this helps or not.

Just a minor problem but it bugs me.. There is this file called karlewsa.exe. I don't know what it is or what it can do. What I know is that it is detected as a virus by prevx. I tried manually deleting it...

Your problem cannot be classified as 'minor': you have probably been infected by a nasty virus.
In order to do this 'manual' delete of karlewsa.exe or nay program that is 'used by another process', you need to:

  • start 'Task manager' (access via keys ctl-alt-del)
  • go to the 'Processes' tab
  • locate the required running process like karlewsa.exe and anything that is related and click on 'End process'
  • locate the directory that has this program and delete the whole directory (you might be required to kill/end additional processes from that directory...)
  • run your up to date Antivirus/Antispyware programs
  • recheck that karlewsa has not regenerated itself again!
Hope the information is helpful and good luck!

ps. The best way to kill any virus is to boot up from a CD containing an up to date antivirus/antispyware utility that has been created on a clean PC.

Cannot delete my bad files...

Could be a process issue stopping you deleting the files. Try downloading unlocker (http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/) and see if this helps.

If not it might be an 8.3 naming convention issue. Go to DOS prompt to a "dir /x /a". Rename the file to less than 8 characters using the SHORT name only. Then try deleting the file.

My bad files cannot be deleted!!!

I would Boot into "DOS" or to the C:> prompt WITHOUT loading windows, (from the same window that you enter safe mode from), and find the suspect files and delete them.  del <filename.ext>

How to find remove xp antispyware 2009

Hi,
To be very true, there is no permanent fix to the problem, except for reinstalling the windows after a complete format. This is very annoying virus. You can get rid of it by deleting, the enteries in the registery , but it tends to return and the only fix that i was able to find was to reinstall , coz thats exactly what i ended up doing on my computer. As i had the same problem

Thanks
