Monitor comes on, I can see everything perfect then goes black
Monitor: Westinghouse L2046NV
Power light stays green at all times.
The power cord and VGA cords securely fastened and all pins are perfect.
Everything apears perfectly normal for 4-6 seconds then goes black (Example, if a Word doc. is open it is visable)

Tried flicking the power switch to no avail.
I can get the menu screen to come up on power on but it goes black before I can attempt and changes (4-6 seconds).
Power light stays green with screen black.
Re: monitor comes on, I can see everything perfect then...
"Most" newer monitors will let you know if the are no longer receiving a signal. Sounds like the backlight is burnt out. Try getting a bright (LED works best) flashlight and shining it at the screen at all angles to see if you can see any of what you were doing. If the backlight is on the fritz, either return it on warranty or buy a new one.

Your power supply board is dead, you know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Do you see an orange light on the monitor anywhere? Usually the light
turns green when the monitor comes on, but its orange when in "standby"
mode. If your monitor is plugged in and you get an orange light, that
usually means that your video card has gone out on your computer. When
your video card goes out, the monitor doesn't receive a signal from your
computer, so it
doesn't know it is suppose to turn on. So if this is the case, you need
to replace the video card on your computer
If your monitor
doesn't turn on whatsoever, and everything is plugged in correctly, then
you need to get a new monitor or send this one back to the manufacturer
for a defective replacement.
The problem is with the Westinghouse monitor. The video card inside the monitor is most likely faulty. There are 2 cards inside, 1 is the power supply and the other video. The power cards are typically OK if you are getting a green power indicator. The video card is most likely the culprit and will need to be replaced. If you open the case, BEWARE the capacitors, make sure you drain them before poking around.
Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
All you can check is for swollen capacitors visually
after that voltage tests would localize the bad part
panel with tcon and invertors
