Question about Clarion (VRX765VD) Car DVD Player
I have a '04 Sebring Limited with the 7spkr Infinity sound. I purchased the Metra 70-1818 harness that is needed to connect the Clarion to the car. For the most part i was able to connect the wires for the black/grey attachments, so the unit powers and functions. My problem is that i am not getting any sound at all. The wiring harness that i bought has 4 RCA male hook-ups (Grey, White, Purple, Green). The Clarion has similar colors corresponding but the with two females. To make things even more confusing, the Clarion on the oppisite end has more wires with the same color scheme, only those would require splicing. Can anyone provide any advice?
I lost my faceplate for my radio I looked for it for 2 month and the way I found it was at ebay.com
they sell the remote too I payed $65.00 for them both .Good luck!

SOURCE: park brake switch
If you have the old firmware then all you need to do is ground the parking brake wire..
if you have the new firmware(just bought the system) a toggle switch is involved:
1 - connect e-brake wire from dvd unit to the switch
2 - connect a ground wire from switch to the unit chassis(any good metal grounding surface will do)
3 - pop in a dvd, toggle the switch back and forth 2 or 3 times depending on what wire you placed where...and voilaa!! your dvd system should work in motion!!

A few things to check...
Make sure the receiver is set to "tel sw" or something similar in the menu. From there, you should be able to set the call to the left or right speaker. Make sure you set the headset to the same side.
Another thing to check, make a call and get connected through the headset. Now wait a few seconds and push a button on the phone to power the backlight. If it is wired correctly, you should see the "connected" timer on your phone keep time. If it appears that you are connected, the problem is most likely in the settings.
Also, if nothing else works, make sure that you have the accessory wire(should be red on the BLT370) connected to the right wires. All the other wires will power it on even if this wire is not connected correctly.

these codes are hacked into by persons more savoy than me, I have gone to the blog sites where they exchange the info about "region hacks" as they call it, no hack exists yet for your paticuliar DVD player, check back in a few months for an update, will be glad to keep looking..
