Here is a link to a very good explanation:

Typically in radio we see DTMF used two ways:

1) To turn a device on and off. Such as irrigation systems on a golf course. The golf course groundskeeper can simply use the DTMF keypad on his radio to type in the appropriate code to turn the sprinklers on or off.

2) When linked with the appropriate repeater and equipment, it can be linked to a land line telephone system, and then make and receive calls.

Casio instructions

For simple scientific calculators, you have a certain number of memory locations A, B, C, D, X,Y, M. Maybe more,
To store a value in a memory location you use the [STO] or
[SHIFT] [RCL] (STO) sequence.

15 [STO] A (displays 15)
[RCL] A (displays 15)

For graphing calculator, you have 26 memory locations, one in each letter. You use the STO key to store as above. You may also have the possibility to store programs, and on certain models a text editor.

NET10 W408g does not allow using the Xlink gateway fully, especially sending DTMF codes to automated systems.

Been a long time since I have seen this phone but I seem to remember a setting like this. Some phones had a long and short setting too.

Motorola Support

Activate DTMF tones: Menu > Settings > Initial Setup > DTMF When you dial a number, your phone sends it to your network as Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) tones. To send DTMF tones during a call, just press number keys or scroll to a number in the phonebook or recent calls lists and press Options > Send Tones

I have the motorola ht1000 with telephone key pad. How or were can i get a manual on this radio? How dose this key pad work? Thank you, Jon Z

The keypad is a dtmf pad. When used with the appropriate communications systems it can be used to make phone calls, and/or turn things on or off. Many times you see these used in irrigation to turn water on and off remotely.

As for a manual, we could not immediately locate one on line. Here is the part number 6881079C50

Best regards.

How do I use the memory function for my fx-115 es calculator

You have 7 memory registers, namely A, B,C, D, X, and Y.
To store a value in say register A you press [SHIFT][RCL] (STO) A. The (STO) is the function you acces when you press [SHIFT][RCL].

23 [SHIFT][RCL] A displays 23 -->A and the value is shown on the bottom of the screen.

To recall a value from register A, you press [RCL] A.
Hope it helps.

Programing Motorola HT1000

The HT1000 is a dealer programmable unit. The DTMF keypad on the front of the unit would be nonfunctional unless you were using it in conjunction with a repeater system which allows for DTMF phone capabilities. Otherwise it is just an extra place for dust, dirt and moisture to get in the radio. If you are working as a firefighter, it is highly recommended you get a holster to cover the front of the radio to prevent moisture from getting to the component board through the keypad area. As for telling if the radio is VHF or UHF, typically the 4th digit of the model number will tell you. If it is an R it is UHF; if it is a K it is VHF. Here is a link to a reference chart:

I bought a motorola ht1000 from a yard sale and i would like to know what the # bottons on the front and the three on the bottom like a phone and the rcl and sto thank you ken

You are describing a DTMF key pad. Here is a link to a good description:

It is basically a telephone style keypad which emits the standard tone sounds, and when used in conjunction with the appropriate system can make phone calls, or turn equipment on and off. A good example would be an irrigation system at a golf course. Many time the golf course manager can control the on and off of the irrigation system from the keypad on his radio.

The other buttons on your HT1000 are programmable buttons, and there function depends on what they were programmed to originally. It could be scan, high/low power, or one of several other choices.

I need to learn how to program my motorola HT 1000 that has a number pad on the fron.

You cannot program the radio from the DTMF keypad. The HT1000 is only programmable by an authorized dealer or person with a subscription to the software. It also requires a programming cable and RIB (radio interface box).
