The mute light is on thus I have no sound. How do you cut the mute off so there is sound? I have no remote!

Look for a button that has a picture of a speaker with a line drawn across it and try that. If all else fails, turn off the radio, wait a few seconds and then turn it back on.

I have a sharp aquos tv model lc32d6u, we have lost the audio, we have tryed turning the set on and off, nothing. we are serviced by Comcast and it is not the box. I can hear a small click when we turn the...

Try this
1. Power off both the TV and the DVR.
2. Plug in the HDMI cable to both units.
3. With the DVR off, press and hold the power button on the unit until the word BOOT appears on the display.
4. Wait until the unit reboots and shows the clock again, then power the TV and the DVR up.
5. Choose the appropriate input on the TV for HDMI.
6. Use the SETTINGS button on the DVR remote to get into the "more settings" option.
7. Find audio settings and choose HDMI output, press select.
Hope that helps.........

Pioneer VSX-94 lost sound

The surge probably affected the power supply. The UPS only maintains operation for a limited time in the event of power loss.

I pushed a button and lost all sound, what should i do? is there a reset button to get going again?

The "MUTE" function on your remote control has been activated. To deactivate the "MUTE" function, simply press the "MUTE" button on your remote control. (Make sure the volume control is turned down to avoid damage to your system.) If you misplace or lose your remote control, you will have to purchase a new remote control unit, as there is no duplicate function on the front panel of your stereo. Unplugging the stereo will not deactivate the muting circuit, as the microprocessor "remembers" if the muting circuit was active prior to being turned off or unplugged. If you need to purchase a remote control, you may order one directly from our parts office.

After unpluging headphone jack from receiver I lost the sound. Headphone picture is on display. How can i turn off that sign

I believe that the problem lays in the optocoupler that drives the singal path. When you insert your headphones into the jack an optocoupler is triggered to basically mute the power amp and just send the preamp signal out through the headphone jack. It could also be a relay but the optocoupler is more practical. Try plugging your headphones in and out a few times to try and trigger the optocoupler. If that does not work I would say the opto coupler has failed and needs to be replaced. This is my suggestion I have never seen the schematic of this amp, this is just the way I would do it. Good luck.

I lost sound from my Denon AVR 682 last night. Display and video are coming fine, but no sound on any input source setting. I have also noticed that a loud click noise that used to come after turning it on...

Reseat all audio connectors sometimes they get dirty. Do you have surge protection? Do any other audio functions work? Clean your remote change the batteries the mute may be stuck. I vote for the battries being weak and the remote will not clearly send all signals.

Lost audio for no apparent reason

Try unplugging your HDMI cable from the AVR I would like to see if your AVR is trying to use HDMI out instead of the composite. Next try plugging each device directly into your television, this will isolate the issue and tell us for sure whether or not it's the AVR.
