OK, I am sorry to say that it seems to be more than I thought. Here is a link to a forum where other people are having the same problem. I expected it to be a setting but this sounds like I'm wrong. I sure wish I could be more helpful. Here's the link though. Good luck, I know how frustrating it is.

I put my Dell Dimension 9200 XPS 410 into sleep mode after connecting a wireless keyboard and mouse and the only way to wake it is to hold the power button in until it shuts off and then switch the power...

I would say it is in the Hibernation Mode To get it out of this mode you need to go to your Control Panel, open "POWER OPTION'S" and deselect the Hibernation mode then reboot.

I have a Dell Dimension E521. When I cut the power on everything comes on including the monitor, but the monitor will stay black. It does say something about power save hit any button but the screen

A solid green light means the computer is operating normally.

A solid yellow light indicates the power supply is operating normally but the computer is not processing data.

This could mean there is a problem with the CPu or another component on the motherboard.

((A blinking yellow light indicates the power supply is receiving power from the wall, but not functioning properly.
This generally means the power supply itself is bad and should be tested or replaced.))

A blinking green light means the computer is in standby mode.

You should consider visiting Dell Support and downloading the manual for your

your Dell computer. So use the LED power light codes if your Dell computer has them.

hope this helps

Dell e521 is stuck in power save mode and flashing the numbers 3 and 4

Try Hitting the Power Button. Some systems require you to hit the power button to bring it out of Power Save, Sleep or Hibernation.

Describe your dell dimension E521 wont boot and Problem my computer turns on but doesn't open it goes to a black screen with little flashing bar in top left corner nothing new was installed but there...

The 123 lights on tower translates as:

Routine system activity subsequent to video initialization.
Watch your monitor for on-screen messages.

Disconnect the video cable from the computer and see if you get floating color bars on display. If not, your monitor is defective.

My e521 screen is black & in power saver mode, can not acess any screen or do anything at all.

Narrow it down to a monitor issue (and fix or replace the monitor in particular) or a PC issue (in which case we're also low on info. about the issue.)

My dell dimension e521 will only start up in safe mode ther was a power outage since then i can not use the computer,

Probably corrupted some importand windows system files.
Boot in safe mode, and do a system restore.

Start, Accesories, System Tools, System Restore..
Choose a restore date. The last one in there will likely do it.
Allow it to do it's thing.. Should be all good. Cross your fingers..

Dell dimension e521 won't turn on

hi !
If your have already changed the power supply, there is still a lot of main points of failure in the no power situation. If the motherboard has a flea light, then it could be one of the components. It can be the memory(if no beeps are heard, then memory is not the cause), it can be the processor, or it can be the control panel, in which the power button is attached. Try to check the cables as well.
Cheers !

My Gateway 500s monitor is stuck in power save mode

Try tapping the F8 key while booting the computer, you will get the start up menu, choose safe mode, when you log on, go to the display settings, that is right click on the desktop, properties, screen saver, advanced and make sure that hibernation is off, along with turn off disks or whatever , probably see turn off monitor after XX minutes, I make ours 15 minutes (150 computers and servers), I don't let the disks turn off. Choose always on also, not home/office. Try this and see if these settings help.
