Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

I have a mits wd-52525 i got it from my neighbor, he said it needs a new screen,but the outside looks fine, i hear glass when i move it, someone said the mirrors are broke.could there be anything else, and how and where can i get the mirrors

The mirror is a single unit and can be purchased from mitsubishi however you will probably have some scratches in the optics eye and this will show in your picture

Wd-52525 can no longer connect with any input deviced, and is fuzzy in the middle of the screen.


I would "reset" the entire tv (like when you first got it) and make sure all input devices are ASSIGNED correctly and each of those has a physical connection that is good. Can you access "setup" OK?? If OK, there is a known problem with the "input board" on some Mits...not an easy or cheap repair.

I bought A 65" Mits and had it two days approx. 2hrs. of run time


check the lamp. it sounds like it failed. you will probably see the broken glass inside the lamp housing

do the lines go from top to bottom, and are they about 1 inch apart? or do they move diagonally across the screen?

Bad FMT (Formatter) circuit board. No longer available for purchase from Mitsubishi.

The electrical chassis will need to be sent to Mitsubishi for rebuild.

Wait time: 4-8 weeks
Cost (including labor to uninstall it and reinstall it: $800 +)
