Take the belt off and either flip it sideways it or replace it. The belt is stretched out of alignment.

Do you remove belt when removing alternator

Hi:

To remove the belt, you must loosen the belt tensioner pretty far.
It is located up near the front of the engine, not far from the air conditioning compressor. It has a 10mm bolt that must be loosened, and that will allow the belt to be removed. After the Alternator is replaced, tighten the belt back up, and start the car , shut it back down and adjust the belt as needed.

Trying to get main pulley off of front of motro to change front seal. Can't figure out if bolt is right or left handed threads. Do I need a special tool for it?

there are special tools, you just need to stop engine from turning, left to loosen, (right hand threads)you need to do a timing belt service while its apart.

I have recently bought a second hand vivotion treadmill which is in excellent condition, but we have no manual, and since my husband fell off and managed to make the belt go to the left and rub on side which...

to get the belt back to the rite. first loosen the the right side and then tighten the left. so if you did 2or 3 turns on the right side then you do the same on the left. you want equal tension on both sides. this is what keeps the belt centered. the bolts that tighten the belt should have a washer in front of it there are two kinds of washers . flat and star I recommend star more gripping power

My belt keeps coming off on my tiller its a 24

There are several possibilities:
1. the belt is old and over stretched and needs to be replaced.
2. you have a bent shaft that causes the pulley to speen crooked.
3. The pulleys are not lined up. You should be able to adjust them by loosening them and sliding them back and forth on the shaft.

I need to replace a belt on my hotpoint dreyer how do i do it

Disconnect power.

Open the door and look along the front upper edge of the door opening. In the top left and right rounded corner of the door opening you will see screws going upward into the top. Remove both screws and raise the top.

Look down inside the open top dryer from above . If unbroken it should be showing across the tub from left to right. If broken you won't see a belt (about 3/8" thick). If belt is missing, proceed. On each left and right edge there will be a screw holding the front assembly to the case of the dryer. Remove 1 on each side.

The dryer front can now be pulled toward you about 3 inches at the top. Take the new belt and work it over the drum from front by lifting and rotating the drum. Lay belt on drum about 1/2 way back from front with groves down on the drum and proceed to reassemble machine by reversing disassembly procedure.

When reassembling the top, part of each underside edge of the top must go beneath a sheet metal lip located at each right and left edge of the dryer just below the control panel. If the small space between the side and top panels is wider at the back than the front you have not accomplished this alignment, try again.

Once you have the top and front back on, pull out the dryer and remove the small access panel at the back bottom. The belt must be "looped" around the motor and idler pulley like this ( http://www.applianceaid.com/images/ldrger-idler-pulley.jpg ). Slowly turn the drum around one turn to line up the belt, to make sure that it will not fall off because of being crooked or twisted.

HOW TO REPLACE A POWERSTEERING BELT ON A 1997 ISUZU RODEO

If it is like a 94, the power steering belt is either middle or front, You might be able to sneak it past the fan, not sure, usually you have to take the fan off, Not the four bolts up front but the 3 bolts into the block holding the bracket. take the fan shroud out,2 srews/ bolts, and clips, getting the top radiator hose out of the way helps. Loosen the tension nut up front, and I believe you have a square hole for a half inch drive breaker bar, use it to move the pump left and right to loosen and tighten the belt. Then tighten the nut back up, put every back, you are all set. If the belt is in the middle, you have to take off the ac belt first. Loosen the tensioner on this belt, and wind it down, Then back up when you are done. Hope this helps.
