A good program for deleting your browser history cleaning out old cookies is CCLEANER which is available free from CNET.COM at the following link:

http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/?tag=main;productListing

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated.

You can read about, check out other user reviews, and download the software free of charge if you want. Just click on the DOWNLOAD NOW (2.91MB) button on the left hand side of the screen when you get there. Then follow the onscreen instructions to install and run the software.

Just run this program whenever you want to clear all the browser history, and saved user IDs and passwords from old websites off your machine.

Good luck.

I can not open my mail box my Email Address; [email protected]

1) If you haven't visited your yahoo account for several months I might have been deactivated and all messages might be deleted. You can only reactive now and start from zero again.
2) If the password isn't accepted - you might have forgot it, so just click "I can't access my account" right below the login form.
3) Try different browsers: Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, maybe the browser is just out of date and doesn't support some modern login features.
P.S. I just checked yahoo.com and I can access my own mail, so yahoo isn't shut down.

  • If Yahoo! isn't opening, for whatever reason, you may have an issue with your cookies. Cookies are little files that are saved by your browser that store various forms of information about websites, passwords, preferences, etc. However, these cookies can also malfunction the website slightly, causing you to have limited or zero ability to use it. To fix this, you can clear your cookies. To do this, go to your "Tools" or "Settings" option on your browser. After that, go to the "History" or "Preferences" section. You should have the option to delete cookies/history. You should also have options to decide what cookies are deleted and which ones aren't. After you've cleared the cookies, close your browser down, then open it back up, and try signing back into Yahoo! Hopefully this solves some people's problems.
  • Ensure you have the latest versions of Adobe Flash and Java installed. It may sound crazy, but websites are using these programs to run applications and stream data to your computer through your browser. Most advertisements and mail clients use some form of code other than just HTML or basic CSS. To update your Adobe Flash and Java version, go to: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and for Java go to: http://www.java.com/en/download/inc/wind...
Hope this helps!

When i click on my yahoo id sign in someone else id appears below the sign in box. if i click on their id it enters their id and password. how do i get rid of it.

Hi David,

This could be because of the autocomplete option enabled in your PC browser.
Follow the steps below to clear any past username/password data saved on the PC

Open Internet Explorer
Click on Tools ( on top right side of screen )
or
Click on Tools from Menu bar

Click on Internet Options
Click on CONTENTS TAB
You will find Autocomplete option
Click on Settings
You will find 3 options
Web address - Forms - Username/password
Uncheck the Username/password option
Click OK

NOW
Click on General Tab
Click on Delete button
Click on Delete Files button and click OK to delete
likewsite do the same for Delete Cookies and Delete Forms

Click OK and close Internet Explorer and re-open

Now when you try to signin with your username and password, you will find your username in the signin box.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox

Click on Tools
Click on Options
Click on Contents Tab
Uncheck the option - Remember password for sites
Click OK.

Yahoo mail

The first thing that you need to do is to access your Yahoo! Mail in another internet browser, so that you will know if the problem is within your Yahoo mail account, or if the issue is within your internet browser only.

If you can access your Yahoo mail in different internet browser, then you may try to optimize the browser that you are having a problem. You may follow the steps below, depending on the browser that you are using:

* For Internet Explorer:

1. Run Internet Explorer and click on 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to Internet Options and locate the Browsing History section.
3. Click the 'Delete' button and delete the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History.
4. Close the Internet Explorer and re-open it.
5. Access your e-mail.

* For Mozilla Firefox:

1. Run Firefox and hit 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to 'Clear Recent History' and click the drop-down arrow for 'Time range to clear'.
3. Select 'Everything' and then click the line beside details.
4. Check browsing & download history, form & search history, cookies, cache.
5. Click "Clear Now" button.
6. Close and re-open Firefox.
7. Access your e-mail.

* For Safari:

1. Open the Safari.
2. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) and select "Empty Cache".
3. When asked "Are you sure you want to empty the cache?", click "Empty".
4. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) then go to "Preferences".
5. From the security dialog box, click "Bookmarks".
6. Click on "Show Cookies" button and then hit "Remove All" button.
7. Select "Done".

Thank you and good luck!

I cannot delet an email message form my web page.

This could be a browser problem. What you could do is to try clearing the cookies, cache and internet files of your internet browser. Here's how:

* For Internet Explorer:

* For Mozilla Firefox:
1. Run Firefox and hit 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to 'Clear Recent History' and click the drop-down arrow for 'Time range to clear'.
3. Select 'Everything' and then hit the 'Clear Now' button.
4. Close and re-open Firefox
5. Access your e-mail.

Or, might as wel, try using another internet browser like Mozilla Firefox, Opera browser or Netscape to isolate the problem.

Thank you!

I cannot access my Yahoo e-mails. They show up on the home page but when I click to access or open them it says internet explorer cannot display this web page.

First thing to try is to clear your browser cache...

Here are instructions for these browsers:
  • Internet Explorer
  • Firefox
Internet Explorer
  1. Under Tools, click Internet Options.
  2. On the "General" tab:
    1. In the "Temporary Internet Files" section (in the middle), click both Delete Cookies and Delete Files.
    2. In the “History” section, click Clear History.
  3. Click OK. Done!
Firefox
  1. Under Tools, click Clear Private Data.
  2. Ensure the “Cache” checkbox is checked.
  3. Click Clear Private Data Now.
Only other thing you can do is contact Yahoo. Login to your Yahoo account and try this link:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/help_f.html?from_url=http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/

If the link doesn't work, click Help in the top right corner, click the Contact Us tab, and select the Technical Help form.
