Question about Sony NetMD Walkman MZ-NF810 Player/Recorder
How do you copy the disc to a computer?
You cannot make an exact digital copy of the disk from the player to a computer. All you can do is to is to re-record the soundtrack; as this means that the player will be converting from digital to analogue, passing the analogue through it's internal amplifier and then the computer will be reconverting from analogue to digital there will be a loss of quality.
You can minimise this by going into the MZ-N510 menu and selecting "line" for the headphone socket. This turns the socket into a line output which completely bypasses the volume control circuitry to give a better recording quality.
