Brand new DC07 won't turn on

I just assembled the brand new DC07 we received as a wedding present, and when I plugged it in and pressed down the on/off switch, it won't turn on. I checked my outlets and they are fine. Not sure what to do but I'm really frustrated--it's never been used!!!

How to remove clutch on dyson dc07

This service is hard to explain. Try googling it so you watch a video of how it is done. You can purchase belts and rebuild the clutch with the new belts or you can purchase a new clutch with belts already installed

Brush won't turn on dyson dc07

There was a belt that was to be attached to the motor shaft under the belt cover, be sure that it didn't pop off. the recommended fix is to replace the clutch, not the belts in the clutch. if you only replaced the belts it could still be a bad clutch.

If you need any help feel free to contact me.

DC07 Shuts Off, won't restart

If it was running for a while... It may be overheating. It has a reset: http://www.ehow.com/how_5943288_reset-dyson-vacuum.html

But maybe just let it cool for an hour or two and try it again?

The canister will not release from the vacuum

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC07. The cyclone assembly should lift away easily from the main body of the cleaner when you press the release button. If it won't do this, it's probably best if you give us a call so we can help - you can reach us on 0800 2980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). We'll look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

DC07 Dyson clutch not engaging, thus carlperr beater not turning

As far as I am aware, the clutch mechanism cannot be dismantled, and even if it can, I dont know of anywhere to get individual components.
DC07 clutches are avaible on eBay reasonably cheaply, so best fit a new one.

Cyclone will not spin

Even thought the belt may look fine the belt still can be worn and therefore no turn the brush or the clutch. The belts you need are these here:

Noisey DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum; lack of suction...

Hi there it's SmartAlec from NelsonVacuums.com.au here. It is very likely you have a problem in the radix assembly or the filter is actually worn out. Basically to test either simply remove one then turn it on to test. If it runs better with out the filter (washable is most likely culprit) simply purchase a new one. If it is the radix assembly that is the problem it is possible to clean inside the little tubes by taking off the top and literally clearing dirt and fluff out with the help of a coat hanger. Alternatively a new one can be purchased. If you are in Australia or New Zealand I can help you with either part. Just put in a request via the email link n our website. Hope this helps regards Alec

My Dyson DC07 won't turn on!

you may have a broken belt. Bad news regarding all Dyson's. You can't replace just the belt your self. You have to purchase a new belt assembly which includes the gears. And it wont be cheap. I would call it a design flaw but i am sure that dyson calls it a profit scheme.
