Question about Gateway MX6450 Notebook
Two things come to mind. First off being borrowing an external DVD drive from someone, or purchasing one from your local electronics store.
The second one is using the recovery partition if it is still intact. I checked online and that model is supposed to have one, though I could be mistaken. When turning on the computer hold Alt and tap F11, that should start reinstalling the operating system for you.
