It's possible that you are turning off the touchpad when you place it on the table. You could just use a USB mouse when it's on a table correct? Or see if there is a disabling button on the computer, and unclick it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I think by pressing the hot key you have enable the dualmode of the graphics card and the pointer has moved to the otherside so you have to try to bring the curser to extreem left or right .and then right click on the desk top and choose the graphics cards display manager to set the display mode to single and you are done.

How do i reset or fix a stuck cursor a frozen lap top dell inspiron E1505 it booting up and coming on but the cursors not moving, it seems like everthing works except the curser

Try uninstalling the drivers for the mouse first, then reboot to see if that works. Don't worry, the drivers will reinstall automatically upon reboot.

Hope this helps. :)

I cant get my mouse pad to work after turning it off in control panel. Im on windows vista and on a lap top. Curser wont work so cant go back in to turn it on again.

Hold the Alt key and press F4. Press Enter to shut down the computer.

Once it's shut down, press the POWER button on the computer's system box to turn the computer on again and reset it back to normal.

Hope this works.
