Question about IBM ThinkVision L170p 17" LCD Monitor
My friend gave me his IBM monitor to look at because it wont turn on. the ac cable is securely connected in both the monitor and the outlet, and the indicator light is solid green. but when i press the power button, or even hold the power button, it doesnt turn on, or do anything for that matter.
any help u can give me??

Check the DVI connections on your computer and your monitor. It is possible that there is not a good connection. Do you have access to another working monitor? If you connect a different monitor, and that monitor comes up, it could be the DVI cable or a bad monitor itself. If neither monitor comes up it could be a bad video card or port, or the computer may not recgonize it under Properties, Display, then settings when you right-click on the monitor, if you are using it as a second monitor.
