I have a ibm t30 no power at all is it an adaptor? also will the t30 screen go into a t20?

No power at all will indicate the motherboard is gone if you dont see the led lights coming on that means motherboard requires a replacement t30 screen is to big wouldnt fit into t20

Sounds like you are losing your backlight inverter. It sits under the bottom of the screen and is responsible for converting the DC power of the battery and power adapter to high voltage AC for the backlight in the lcd panel.

Yes, it's possible, but unless you are a qualified laptop technician, I recommend that you take both computers to a qualified technician, to get the job done properly and safely and correctly.

T30 motherboard problem


press f8 on boot up. select safe mode

Go start>run

type msconfig

hide all micosoft items in services and deselect the remoaining

Also deselect any "dghdfg" looking items from startup

Reboot

Install CCleaner & run

try to check your settings on the display properties ->screen saver->monitor power. make sure the power is turn off never.

IBM t30 battery does not charge
