Lost cd toi my lexmark x2470

hey rose, I'm afraid a normal user won't be able to hook up those old drives to eee. However, you do not need a cd-rom to install the printer drivers. Just download them from lexmark.com homepage and install them from your hard disk! =)

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

and go to drivers and downloads/ driver finder.
enter under search by model..lexmark x2470
next enter your operating system...xp/linus whatever you have.
download your drivers. if you need the user manual you can get it at this site also.

Attention Windows Vista Users
If you have installed your printer on your PC using an original Lexmark Driver CD that came with your product and you are experiencing problems when printing, you may have installed the Windows XP driver.

Follow these steps to resolve:
· Disconnect your USB cable from your printer.
· Uninstall all Lexmark printer drivers on your PC.
· Download the correct Vista driver for your model.
· Install the driver on your PC.

Important - Do not reconnect the USB cable until the install software prompts the question of how the printer is connected. Comment by Soulvisitor, I think I see whats stopping you

Quickly within a sec, when the small box opens click on cj2470 link in Right hand corner, mine seems to freeze up, and not allow download, if I let box open and click tab on top to download.
