Hi, you will probably need to order a new thread cartridge for your machine. You can usually find them on eBay. If not, search for your machine on Google, and you should find dealers listed who sell the part your need.

Good luck, Ginny

If the machine was just recently serviced and the thread cutter stopped working after the service, take it back immediately! They should be able to fix it for you.

I have a Tiny Serger. The thread keeps coming out of the needle when I try to sew so it is not making the chain. What am I doing wrong?

The order that you thread the machine in is also important. Thread the loopers (things underneath) first, thread the needle last.

Thread setting out of wack; bobbin thread won's connect with "too loose" top thread

Your tension adjuster is either set incorrectly or needs repair. Bobbins also have a tension setting, though it is not often necessary to adjust them. If they do, it's usually done by turning a tiny screw a very tiny amount. Best to mark the original location of the screw so you can reset it if need be.

Clean out all the thread, clean the bobbin case area thoroughly, a soft brush is good for this, as lint buildup can cause jamming. Set the upper tension around 3 or 4, and try turning the hand wheel slowly to see if the upper thread picks up the bobbin thread properly. If not, adjust the tension again. If you cannot get it to make a nice even stitch, the tension adjusting mechanism may be in need of repair.

The threader to the needle wont catch the thread

It takes some getting used to, to get these to work properly. Practice. First make sure your needle is in correctly and fully. then make sure that when you engage the needle threader the tiny little hook goes through the eye of the needle. If it doesn't it won't work at all.

Then follow the instructions in the book. Make sure the thread is on the proper side of the tiny hook....

Good luck

I have s fw40fb, will not hold straight when I let off the pedal. too loose?

Do you mean the foot pedal itself is "sliding"? Cut a piece of rubber shelf lining (the one with the tiny holes like you can find in the Dollar Store) and set your pedal over it. It won't slide again!

My granddaughter got a Tiny Tailor TT600. The thread comes off the Disc thread guide as soon as we start sewing. Can't keep thread on there unless I keep finger on that button to keep thread on while...

I had the same problem until I saw that you have to Thread the thread up around the button --not just go around it and expect it to stay. Un-thread the machine to that point then look carefully at the button and you will see an open tab on the right side to go around but on the left side you have to look up at it and thread the thread up next to the button-there's a closed piece on that side that keeps the thread on the button, and then continue to thread the machine. Once you have it correctly it won't be able to fall off every time the arm thing comes down. Hope that helps!

I threaded it all right i have cheacked it many times but the thread in the bobbin keeps getting jammed

Many causes for this problem. Most common are;
  1. Top thread not inserted correctly.(must keep thread tight.)
  2. Debris and loose thread around the bobbin cage. All it takes is a tiny piece of thread in the right place.
  3. Bobbin inserted backwards in the "bobbin holder". When installed correctly, There is some resistance when you pull on the thread, but the bobbin will spin without trying to pop out of the "bobbin holder".

The bobbin case on my Singer Inspiration 4210 sewing machine keeps popping up in the back causing my thread to bunch up underneath. What is causing this? Is the bobbin case in wrong? How is it supposed...

From what I gather on other sites, your thread has to be threaded under tension.... You have to make sure you hear a click when your bringing your thread down to the bottom of the "arm". Also, I thought the bobbin case was rather loosely held in its place, I adjusted this by unscrewing the black plate and moving it over just a smidge. The bobbin is supposed to have some wiggle room, but it kept popping up and making the tiny adjustment seems to have done the trick....for now...

"check top thread" warning, but top thread is threaded correctly

The upper thread sensor may be bad or need cleaning off but this doesn't happen very often. What does happen is that the thread regulating spring (the spring that the thread goes through just before going up to the take up lever) has come out of a small grooved piece it fits through. By taking the side cover off you should be able to see this and possibly be able to pop it back in. A tiny amount of super glue can keep it from happening again.
