Setting the radio on sony mhc 2800

I have a sony stereo mhc 2800 system which we have had for years. We do not have the manual and are trying to set the radio, but cannot work out how. My 10month old son keeps turning the system off at the wall so that each time we have to retune the radio. It is driving us nuts - please help...

Hi, It is easy when you know it. I used a manual from a different type off manual since Sony does not place the right manual on the web. Here it is: set the mode to tuning use the +button to let the tuner search for the right frequency when you got what you want: press the memorybutton (left on the tuner part) with the +button (by pressing as many times as required)you choose your programnumber then press the memory button again. That should do it (it workes by my audioset). Dont forget to swich the mode to preset, or it will be all to easy for your son to chance it. Well, good luck Frank

My speaker outputs, including headphones, makes a loud pulsing sound. the stereo is a sony mhc-rx70 bookshelf system.

It is mobile phone system's problem, you can try to mobile phone shop where to install system. Instead of Stereo Earphone problem.

How to reset my sony mhc-gs100??? it keep saying power protect...

Your stereo went into protect mode to prevent complete failure of the amplifier inside that radio. Most of the time this happens from playing the stereo real loud for a real long time and it overheats. Most of the time disconnecting the receiver/stereo and letting it cool all the way down or at least 5 minutes and then reconnecting it to the power source will reset the protection mode. You want to make sure you are keeping the radio cool. Don't stack anything on top of it and try keeping a small fan blowing on it to expedite the heat out from the unit. Also turning it down every now and then to let everything cool down a bit will help prevent it from going into protection mode as well.

I just bought an ipod nano, and want to link it to my Sony MHC F-100 stereo. Is there an adaptor made for this?

Yes, go down to Radio Shack and ask for one. It converts the headphone miniplug to an RCA pair.
