Did you program it with the Orion Code, I believe it's a 4 digit number??? YOu'll have to read the manual for the remote but most have instructions and various codes. If it worked before, it might just need reprogramming. OR the batteries could be low, that will affect some though usually they will keep the code until changed.
Try unplugging and replugging,then reprograming the remote. Also try removing the batteries from the remote, holding a button down to drain the power, reinstalling the batteries, and reprogramming the remote.
I had the same problem with my remote...over time it slowly stopped working. (sorry for poor terminology) I noticed that one of the battery terminals was corroded and that the metal connecting the battery to the board was completely gone. I simply swapped this out with one from another remote and now its working fine. Seems the only issue is that the battery was not connected.
