How do i download songs from my pc itunes to my iphone 4

There are 2 ways,

1) sync music to your iphone through itunes by selecting the music tab on itunes and select the song you want to sync

2) sync by manually dragging your music to the iphone icon in itunes. you will need to click off the box "manually sync files to iphone" at the bottom of itunes

To do an emergency restart of the iphone, press and hold down both the home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time.

If your iphone still hangs when starting and will not be recognized in iTunes then follow these steps:

Make sure the device is off before attempting this!
  1. Press and hold down the Home button for about 10 seconds until a yellow triangle with a text which says Please Connect to iTunes appears.
  2. Plug the iPhone into Mac or Windows PC. Release the button if you haven’t.
  3. Run and open iTunes if it’s not already opened yet.
  4. iTunes will prompt a message that says iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Click OK.
  5. You will be taken to the iPhone pane. Then, click on Restore.
  6. Wait for the full restoration process to complete, and the iPhone will be back to the original settings state as when it left the manufacturing factory, typically a working phone again if you face any problem, unless it’s hardware related.

I was running updates with my phone connected to itunes on my computer, power went out during the middle of syncing. now it wont turn on. i hold both buttons and the apple icon appears for about 5 seconds...

Open up itunes first.

You need to restore iphone in DFU mode.

Restart computer and use a different USB cable if possible.

Hold power button 10 seconds, don't let go, now push in home button 6 seconds.
Now release only the power button.

Keep holding 'home' button until itunes sees it and allows you to restore.

click restore.

If this still does not work then do all of this on a different computer.

I power on my iPhone and I get the black background with the apple icon in the middle, after a couple of minutes I see the spiral loading beneath it for a few minutes and then the iPhone restarts again,...

first if itunes recognizes the phone just push the option for restore. If not then you should try a force reset. That is accomplished by holding the home screen button and power button down together at the same time. when the screen resets and shows the apple symbol keep holding the home screen button and plug the phone with cable already connected to the computer. after a few seconds itunes should recognize the phone is in recovery mode and make you do a restore. if that does not work you have a hard ware problem and you need to get your phone replaced as long as it is in warranty at a store.

How do I add itunes music to iphone from computer itunes library? Is this possible or do I have to buy all new songs from the iphone Apple Store?

Yes it can, connect your iphone to your computer, at this point as soon as your computer recognizes the iphone itunes should open up.. if it doesn't just open it up yourself. Now on he left where all the playlists are there should be an icon with you iphone there, click on it. Now to the right there should be a tab labeled "music", click on it now you can select wether all your music will transfer over or just certain playlist. There you go.
