Question about Apple iPod MP3 Player
Try a reset. toggle hold switch on and off then press menu button and center button at the same time. hold both buttons down until the screen flashes. You may have to try this several times.

I have had this a couple of times...turn ipod on and let battery go dead...recharge and it should be fine
